public class LayoutPanel
extends javax.swing.JPanel

Panel that allows for the horizontal or vertical arrangement of components. Hides some of the idiosyncracies of Swing layouts. Essentially a BoxLayout that places all the Components it contains in individual panels within the LayoutPanel so that sizing is handled properly.

LayoutPanel

public LayoutPanel()

Constructs an empty layout panel with horizontal orientation. Default alignment within the panel is centered. Use alignLeft, alignRight, or alignCenter to change the alignment.

Throws:

java.lang.IllegalArgumentException - if orientation does not equal X_AXIS or Y_AXIS

LayoutPanel

public LayoutPanel(int orientation)

Constructs an empty layout panel with the specified orientation. Default alignment within the panel is centered. Use alignLeft, alignRight, or alignCenter to change the alignment.

Parameters:

orientation - X_AXIS to align elements in a row,
Y_AXIS to align them in a column

Throws:

java.lang.IllegalArgumentException - if orientation does not equal X_AXIS or Y_AXIS
