![]() August 10th 1994However, in 1994 this crosswalk was removed by town officials. This crosswalk video documents the one man revolution set out to restore the most popular crosswalk in Durham, NH. The effort started out as a concept in one man's mind, that of Stephen Savage. Soon after the original crosswalk had been removed: "Someone should paint that crosswalk." remarked Mr. Savage. Being one of the listeners in Stephen's audience, I took his idea to heart and grew determined to return the crosswalk to the place it belonged -in the heart of downtown Durham. | ||||||||||||
