I am teaching Sections 1 and 2 of CS 410 this Fall. The prescribed textbook for this class is the second edition of ``C Program Design for Engineers'' by J. R. Hanly and E. B. Koffman. I also recommend ``The C Programming Language'' by B. W. Kernighan and D. M. Ritchie as a reference, but you are NOT +required+ to buy it. The course will involve much programming in the C language with an emphasis on specific applications to science (as opposed to generalized ``business'' or ``consumer'' applications). If you are registered for this class already, then please login to your Blackboard account and you will find more information in the course pages that you see in your account. -Sv-up nill September 4th, 2008 |
