Fidelity Investments b Benefits Consulting Services Group Data Consultant Intern B Position Description The Fidelity Benefits Consulting Services Group is comprised of over 200 professionals who help clients solve complex (or simple) problems. We offer a broad range of services that touch on every area of benefits design, strategy, funding, communication and delivery. Most of us come from other leading consulting firms and all have experience in multiple industries. We focus on large companies (more than 5000 employees) but have many valued relationships with much smaller organizations.

The Data Consultant Intern will work with Associates, Consultants and Senior Consultants to build and provide data solutions to clients regarding their benefit programs with an emphasis in defined benefit and defined contributions plans.  We work with interns to develop their data management and consultative skills.  Career path for candidate aims at becoming a data management consultant to deliver analysis and resolution of data challenges (i.e. database constructions, data transformation, data reconciliation etc.) found in the administration of employee benefit plans (HR payroll, defined benefit, defined contribution, health and welfare plans).

Primary ResponsibilitiesB

Develop and execute data queries and mappings in sql or Informatica Analyze query results to identify trends, issues and propose corrective actions Develop ad hoc and recurring client ready reports to describe data trends Provide input regarding appropriate technological solutions for data challenges.  Weighing the costs and benefits of the different alternatives Design, build and maintain databases.  Build user interfaces/GUIs for existing databases

Education and Experience

Will have finished junior year of college by May 2012 Concentration in information technology or computer science subject major preferredB

Skills and Knowledge
